COVID-19 and Consumers: From Crisis to Recovery
Consumer trust and confidence is critical to economic recovery. We are tracking the experience, behaviours, expectations and challenges of Australian consumers every month from May to October. Our Consumers and COVID-19 report explores the consumer protections introduced internationally and locally, emerging and amplified vulnerabilities across the community, and the building blocks for policymakers and businesses supporting consumers through to recovery.

Our Services
Research
We believe good policy and program design begins with a solid evidence base of consumer experiences, the latest insights and research from home and abroad, and extensive knowledge of the current policy framework. We provide research services to government and regulatory bodies that want to design and operate effective consumer policy regimes that work in practice, not just in theory. Check out examples of past projects and get in touch to see how we can work together.
Education and Training
We design and deliver consumer and community sector education and training programs to empower consumers to act on their rights. Co-designed with community workers and consumers, our Energy Simplified program is supported by a range of energy information materials, including fact sheets, explainer videos and posters. We’ve gone virtual in 2020 with webinars helping Victorians take control of their energy bills.
About Us
Most importantly, we facilitate conversations that matter to build a stronger shared understanding across government, industry and the community sector about ways to improve the lives and welfare of consumers.
